Shy female jaguar "Ti", aka "Ryan", suddenly emerged into the sunset from the deep shadows of the jungle, and gave us a single glance before smoothly sliding into the Cuiaba river to hunt. Taken from a boat on the river in the late afternoon of 7 June 2022 in Brazil's Pantanal. Jaguars in this stretch of the river in the Parque Estadual Encontro das Águas are habituated and generally go about their business ignoring people, making it the prime jaguar viewing area in South America.
